The thesis
You cannot fully understand economic growth — or economic crises — without understanding monetary sovereignty.
Most people — including famous investors — quietly run corporate credit analysis on entire countries. It is the wrong model, and it has been wrong for seventy years while the debt they feared grew a hundredfold.
This retreat rebuilds the picture from first principles: how money is actually created, what truly constrains a currency issuer, and why that single idea reframes growth, inflation, and every crisis you will invest through.
What you'll learn
Six branches, built in the right order.
Each branch is a self-contained module. We start with what money actually is and end with inflation — every idea resting on the one before it.

Your instructor
Austin Muñoz, CFA
I spent part of my early career running credit analysis on companies — and, occasionally, on countries. One borrower broke every rule I knew, and understanding why led me to monetary sovereignty and to the way I now analyze the whole economy.
I hold the CFA charter and BA and MA degrees from Yale in economics and quantitative finance, and I've worked as an investment professional for the past ten years. This retreat is the course I wish someone had taught me.

Questions
Good to know.
Do I need a background in economics?
None at all. Everything is built from first principles. If you can read a basic balance sheet and follow an argument, you'll keep up.
How large is each cohort?
Twelve seats, deliberately. Small enough for real discussion, genuine access to the material, and conversations that continue over dinner.
What does the $1,000 deposit cover?
It holds your seat and is applied in full to your $15,000 tuition. The deposit is fully refundable within 14 days, and transferable to a future cohort if your plans change.
Is travel included?
Your accommodation at The Plymouth is included, along with session meals and the welcome and closing dinners. If you're local or prefer your own stay, take $1,500 off ($13,500) and simply join us on-site each day. Airfare and incidentals are your own; Miami International Airport is about 30 minutes away.
Do you run private company retreats?
Yes. Group and company cohorts are available on request, and I can travel to your location. Use the form below or book a call and we'll design it around your team.
